As we head out to the shooting range guests will enjoy a scenic flight over Douglas Lake. You’ll fly over Douglas Dam and proceed across Douglas Lake, nationally renowned for both largemouth bass and crappie fishing. See sun-glistening views of the water and people enjoying their time on the lake. During the winter, TVA lowers the water level generating electricity, so you’ll have majestic views of exposed islands and coves. Offers distant views of the Smoky Mountains.

Upon landing at Iron Mountain Sporting Clays, you’ll be greeted by a staff member who will escort you to the office, assist you in signing in and provide step-by-step instruction before you head out to the range on your own personal golf cart.

With two courses to choose from, Iron Mountain Sporting Clays offers serious shotgun enthusiasts and beginners alike a safe and fun experience. Each station uses the natural setting of the foothills of the Smokies to create challenging, but breakable targets. Your shooting experience includes golf cart and gun rental, safety equipment, ammo, targets, snacks, and water.

As we depart the shooting range, prepare for even more sightseeing! Enjoy a bird’s eye view of downtown Sevierville and the Tennessee Valley. As the flight progresses, you’ll travel over the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and the outskirts of Pigeon Forge and Waldens Creek with excellent views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Your journey continues as you round the backside of Bluff Mountain, featuring over 6,000 acres of undeveloped land. While flying low over the treetops, you’ll cross the top of Bluff Mountain where the ridgeline drops away and views go from 100 feet to 80 miles in the blink of an eye. It truly is a sight to see! Heading back in, you’ll follow the sheer, glacier-carved rock cliff side of Bluff Mountain and Sugarloaf Mountain before soaring across the beautiful rolling foothills as you return to the heliport.
